10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor

Audit network traffic and monitor internet usage with a handy tool from 10-Strike Software – the aptly named 10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor. By using this tool you have an efficient and versatile means of keeping an eye on network traffic, monitoring your bandwidth, and obtaining data on the traffic volume utilized by the hosts on your local network.

10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor provides support for all Windows versions from Windows XP up to Windows 8.1 (which is the latest Windows release at the time of writing this). A straightforward setup wizard will help you install 10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor on your PC. Said setup wizard will install three elements: 10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor, 10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor Agent, WinPcap.

When you’re done with the installation and you run 10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor for the first time, a “Welcome!” dialog will show up and inform you that the program is already configured for monitoring network traffic on your computer, that you can monitor the bandwidth on remote computers (you’ll have to install remote Agents on these computers to count traffic and monitor bandwidth on them), and that the program will store traffic stats for about 2 months before clearing it.

Three panels are presented on this application’s interface: a Hosts list on the far left; a central panel that displays a bandwidth diagram, presents traffic sensors and their current state, and displays total traffic stats for a certain period; a Help panel on the far right. You can customize this interface by removing the Help panel, setting it so dates are displayed on diagrams, switching to a dark background, and selecting which sensors are displayed.

10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor can send out email and SMS notifications when certain conditions are met or when a failure occurs.

You can use 10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor to free for a trial period of 30 days. A prompt will show up every time you launch 10-Strike Bandwidth Monitor and tell you how many days are left in your trial.
